Golang Job: Golang Software Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to aid in adoption to modern software design, delivery, and Agile focused processes. In this Senior Software Engineer position, you would have an opportunity to work with a cloud tech stack, a suite of development tools, and dynamic programming languages such as C# and Golang.

Responsibilities for the Senior Software Engineer include:

• Develop Services or Products as part of an Agile (Scrum/Kanban) team
• Write code (Golang & C#), design, test, and collaborate to get that code into production as we migrate to a DevOps model
• Automate everything where possible - from building (Gradle and Jenkins/Cloudbees), testing (JUnit, Cucumber), and deploying (Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Terraform) services
• Work on Web and Mobile User Interfaces and REST APIs that connect to SQL (Oracle) and noSQL databases

Qualifications for the Senior Software Engineer include:

• Four year degree in IT, Computer Science or related field
• 5+ year’s experience developing enterprise software and services
• Experience with Go/Golang
• Demonstrated experience as an engineer or developer on a high-volume, scalable system
• Experience designing writing RESTful web services

Compensation for the Senior Software Engineer include:

• Salary: $150,000-160,000 base salary
• Contract: $65-80/hr
